Report job properties

When you create a new report job, or open properties of an existing one, you can see and edit the following properties.

Report job name – The name of report job.

Report period – The time period for which reports are generated. It can be specified either as a static period using From and To dates (both dates inclusive), or as a dynamic period which is computed relative to report generation date.

In case of dynamic period, you can specify period duration in number of days, weeks, or months. Note that there is a difference on how report period is computed depending on what time unit you choose. But the day when report is generated is never included regardless of time unit.

If you specify period as "Last X days", it means X full days before generation date. The last day of the period is the day before generation date.

If you specify period as "Last X weeks", it means X full weeks before generation date. The last day of the period is the last day of last week. (The last day of week depends on system regional settings.)

If you specify period as "Last X months", it means X full months before generation date. The last day of the period is the last day of last month.

Data to be included in the report – Here you can choose which statistics are included in generated reports. Here is a brief description of each data column:

Level of detail – This property defines whether report will contain only overall sums of used traffic, or it will be detailed by some characteristic. The characteristic can be one of the following: client IP, user name, client IP and user name, shaping rule, quota rule, hour, day, week, month, year, hour of day, day of week, day of month, month of year.

Include graphs of bandwidth usage – This property defines whether report will contain graphs showing the dynamics of bandwidth usage during the report period.

Sort results by – Here you can select by which column the entries are sorted in the report.

Limit number of resulting entries – This property allows you to limit the number of entries included in the report. Top N entries are selected based on sort order.

Report generation – The mode of report generation, which can be either manual or automatic. In automatic mode you can choose the date and time of next run, and the period with which report job runs.

Maximum number of stored reports – The maximum number of reports stored under this report job. The oldest reports are deleted to maintain the limit.

Send generated reports to the following e-mail address(es) – The e-mail addresses to which generated reports are automatically sent upon completion of the generation.
